- BC CCC Members List: Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship advertises job opportunities from their member companies.
- BSR Jobs: Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) is the largest (in terms of number of employees) CSR consulting firm in the US. They often have positions available.
- BSR ยป CSR Jobs Page: BSR lists external CSR jobs on a separate page from their internal listings.
- Net Impact: The jobs listing section is members only and focuses on summer internship for MBAs and full time jobs for MBA grads.
- SVN Job Listings: Social Venture Network is a membership organization of small to midsize companies. They list jobs for their members here.
- LifeWorth: Based in the UK and in partnership with Ethical Corporation magazine, Lifeworth provides job listings globally, coaching and recruiting services to sustainability and CSR organizations.
- Ethical Performance: Ethical Performance is a social responsibility newsletter with a jobs section to their website.
- MMB & Associates: Martha Montag Brown is a philanthropy and CSR Recruiter. Her website includes positions for which she is recruiting.
- Triple Bottom Line Investing/ Brooklyn Bridge Newsletter: This newsletter comes out every 2 months. They always include a jobs section and will be sure to have SRI type jobs available here.
- Corporate Citizenship Briefing: Most CSR positions listed here are based in the UK.
Keywords
Some great CSR jobs can be found in the big job search engines such as hotjobs, monster and careerbuilder. Here are some key words to help in your search: “social responsibility,” “socially responsible,” “human rights,” “sustainability,” “community affairs,” “corporate affairs,” “public affairs,” “government affairs,” “compliance” minus finance, “environment, health and safety,” and “ethics.”
Environmental Sustainability Jobs
- Green Dream Jobs: Also known as SustainableBusiness.com is the preeminent site for sustainability jobs and includes some CSR jobs as well.
- Environment Jobs UK: Several nonprofit and public sector environmental posts in the UK.
- GreenBiz.com: This website is a good resource for information about environmental sustainability and business. The jobs listings page has a section where jobseekers may post their resume.
- Eco Employ: This one comes via Karen Seeh at UNC Kenan Flagler School of Business. These jobs are more for people with environmental degrees than MBAs.
- Environmental Career: Also from Karen Seeh. These jobs are more for people with environmental degrees than MBAs.
Nonprofit Jobs
- NonProfitOyster: The oyster has a powerful job searching database for positions in the US and Canada.
- OpportunityNOCs: Includes both a powerful search engine and a resume posting option for US-based opportunities.
- ExecSearches.com: Lists nonprofit positions from the executive to mid-level.
- Tides Foundation: Based in San Francisco, Tides Foundation is an incubator for social and environmental nonprofits. They list positions at Tides and their grantees.
- EthicalCareers.org: Based in the UK (and also via Karen Seeh), this site provides information on nonprofit jobs. There is a page similar to this one with links to many job listings sites but is more broad (more international development, nonprofit, and environment) than my social responsibility focus.
International Development Jobs
- Idealist: A great job search engine with several international NGO opportunities.
- AlertNet: From Brenda Holoboff in Canada, another great resource and strong search engine specializing in humanitarian aid.
- OneWorld.net: Provides listing of job opportunities in a handful of developing countries and the UK.
- DevNetJobs: A volunteer driven initiative to circulate job listings.
- Monday Developments: Back in the day, before the internet, Monday’s Developments weekly publication was the only resource for US-based international developments jobs. Today the publication is online but still has a fee attached.
- Relief Web: Also from Brenda, disaster and relief positions.
- VSO: Non-Brits often overlook VSO which opens its door to people from many nations. VSO is similar to Peace Corps but the volunteers have more pertinent work experience.
Philanthropy Jobs
- Foundation Center: With resource offices in major cities around the US, the Foundation Center’s Philanthropy New Digest lists jobs focused in philanthropy and fundraising.
- Chronicle of Philanthropy: The Chronicle of Philanthropy lists job opportunities largely in the nonprofit and grant making arena.
- Council on Foundations: This is a fee-based service of foundation focused jobs.
Policy/Public Affairs Jobs
- EuroBrussels: From Brenda Holoboff, EU related policy jobs.
